Janaína Miranda is a visual artist, holding a Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts from the Institute of Arts of the University of Brasília and a Master’s degree in Communication Technologies and Aesthetics from the Postgraduate Programme in Communication and Culture of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.

In her artistic practice, explores the language of photography through site-specific proposals, publications, and installations, where the image operates as both a mirror of the mind and a negotiation device with the world. Her narratives are permeated by the silence and the relationship with time, revealing fissures between the intimate and the collective, the visible and the invisible. For Janaína, the artistic gesture is also a micropolitical practice that unveils and questions established structures and hierarchies.
